I broke my ankle on September 1. I had an operation to do the bones, then six weeks in a cast, then a 2and operation to put pins in. I had crutches and boot. I went back to work before Christmas. My ankle still hurts, merely today even after painkillers that normally work. Information technology is like every fourth dimension I walk I am existence stabbed in my foot.

Per doc, at iv weeks I tin can walk for as long as it feels ok. I walked 1 1/ii mile slowly in the kick and now it hurts to the indicate of distraction; today is just v weeks. I have no swelling and it feels adept.

I broke my ankle slipping on ice. Felt the crack and certain plenty I broke my fibula and correct talocrural joint bone. I've been sleeping in a recliner keeping it elevated doing leg bending as much equally possible; slow consecutive getting dorsum in the recliner and elevating information technology, making sure the swelling stays downwards and claret circulates. When standing my human foot still goes purple though it is after ii weeks. Wonder if everyone else has had this trouble. Pain is all the same in that location, not equally stiff though. Wondering if it is safe to wing, I have concerns nigh developing deep vein thrombosis.

I had a crush injury later on a horse fell on me breaking my tibia, fibula and talus in the ankle in several places forth with ruptured ligaments, etc. I had an open reduction, then 2 plates and 13 screws. One screw is at present removed and I am meant to be fully weight bearing, however, the pain is totally unbearable. The physiotherapy waiting list is longer than both my arms and I am now experiencing bad swelling and a lot of clicking inside the joint. If anybody has any experience, please permit me know this will get amend! Injury was 4 months agone.

I was playing football with my kids and my daughter's boyfriend fell on my talocrural joint. I have an ankle fracture. I was put in an air kick for 5 weeks non-weight bearing. I went back to the doc and he said I could bear weight and put me in a splint which actually hurt, so I'm wearing a brace. I cannot walk. I still take hurting on both sides of my talocrural joint and my talocrural joint is stiff. He said to come back if I had pain at 2 weeks. The whole procedure has seemed weird, every bit I wasn't even told where the intermission was until the boot was taken off and I asked.

I'thou six weeks in later on a cleaved ankle, and going by eggs, vitamins and beef. I had a trimalleolar fracture and it looks skilful. I accept little pain and good movement. Information technology was caused by a pothole grass. For 56 years no injury and this is a concern. I take a leg scooter. Information technology is looking good and then far even with screws and bolts.

Information technology'southward been nine weeks since my trimalleolar fracture happened. I had a plate and 7 screws put in on the exterior of my left ankle and 3 long screws put in on the inside. I've noticed a very large burl still on the outside of my ankle right where you should run across my talocrural joint os. My ankle is nonetheless very swollen and I have no feeling on my skin on the left one-half of my left human foot. I likewise cannot physically point my toes. Not because of pain, but considering my ankle and foot won't physically bend that way anymore.

I broke and dislocated my ankle. The first surgery was to put an external fixator on while the swelling was reducing. The second surgery was to remove the fixator and too add together plates and screws. The second surgery was outpatient. The pain I have experienced so far has been mind-bending. I was not prepared for that. I am told that the all-time pain level I tin accept is a 5. I have two weeks before the incisions are released and then hopefully a boot. I don't envy anyone who is undergoing this process.

I dislocated and broke my ankle in 2 places. I had surgery on both sides of the ankle to put it back together with steel. I had a bandage for 2 weeks, then a moon boot and started physiotherapy when I went into the moon boot. Vi weeks post-surgery I am partially weight begetting on elbow crutches. After the side by side 10-rays I expect to fully weight bear in the kick for another 2 weeks. The physiotherapist has really helped with the flexibility of my ankle, and the massage she showed me has helped reduce swelling.

I bankrupt and sprained my ankle falling on blackness water ice. It was a slow motion crushing tearing autumn. I felt everything along the outside of my foot tearing as I fell. I take a stable talocrural joint fracture (Weber B) that doesn't desire to heal after almost 8 weeks. And I think I have torn ligaments judging from where my pain is, nigh which the doctor hasn't shown much business concern. Information technology's very frustrating as the doc said it was ok to acquit weight on the fracture, merely if I have a high ankle sprain, which I suspect, I should not have washed whatever weight bearing for at least half-dozen weeks. I am very worried most non-marriage of the fracture and needing surgery for ligament damage.

I broke both tibia and fibula afterwards slipping on wet grass on nine/22/15. I had plate with five screws put on one side and one huge spiral on the other side. That was 9/thirty. I was never in a cast, just an air cast. Ii weeks agone my bones were pronounced totally healed and I was able to carry total weight once more, with but a DonJoy brace. I have had one physiotherapy session and am trying to do exercises on my own. I have daily swelling merely very petty hurting. I effort to elevate my talocrural joint an hr for every iii to 4 not elevated, and water ice it when I do. The swelling does subside quickly when I water ice. Talocrural joint looks nearly normal first thing in the morning time. Information technology's depressing but the recovery on this talocrural joint is not going to be fast. Physician just doesn't like to tell yous that since he knows you'll detect out soon enough!

I bankrupt my fibula but above the ankle afterward a fall on ice. I had a plate and screws to hold the os together and plaster cast for vii weeks and had to be non-load bearing. When the cast was removed I was given a support kick and was able to put almost 50 percent weight on the foot whilst using crutches. It'due south now another 3 weeks on and I am able to walk advisedly without the boot with a bit of a limp every bit the talocrural joint tends to slap-up without the boot. The ankle is still quite sore, merely is now starting to improve. I saw a physiotherapist yesterday and she has given me some stretching exercises to do on my talocrural joint. She said the stretching would reduce the swelling and free up the ankle, as long as I practise the stretching on a regular basis.

I bankrupt my ankle and had a trimalleolar fracture for which I had surgery on ix/24 (injury on 9/12). I had screws and a plate or 2 placed. I had my 2 week follow-upwardly appointment today. No x-ray was done. Stitches and staples came out, I was put in CAM boot and told I can be total weight bearing, 2 weeks after surgery. This sounds crazy to me! And then far I am using crutches to help. I can't put weight on it though. Wonder if anyone else was told to weight conduct so soon.

I Bankrupt MY talocrural joint in several places. I had surgery and had a plate and pins put in. I was in bed most of the time. For two months, I used a walker or wheel chair. I though afterwards I got my bandage off it would be all better. I had gone to therapy, but my walking was non good so the doctor decided I need to have pins and plates removed subsequently vi months. I am at present walking improve later 7 months, but I'one thousand still really stiff.

I fell and had a trimalleolar fracture of the ankle and two fractures of the fibula over six months ago. I had a plate and 5 screws put in. I was non-weight bearing for 12 weeks so had two of the screws removed. I had physical therapy for one month. I am still having problem walking distances which is frustrating. From what I understand, this is an accident that occurs with Marines and athletes. I hope I'll be back to normal in a few more weeks.

I broke my talocrural joint in 2 places well-nigh a month ago, and just had the opportunity to become rid of the moon boot yesterday! I required open ankle surgery on one side of the ankle and the other side was a directly fracture not requiring surgery. Both sides injure! And so I'm wearing sneakers and the foot is very painful, nonetheless, around the ankle and above the human foot, and it feels weird if I stand up on the injured foot without sneakers. I am taking Mobic to reduce the swelling and am not walking a lot to minimize swelling. I offset rehab this week on the ankle and hope that I tin regain range of motion and reduce the pain I now experience.
